Cathie Batbie-Loucks is the KVOA-TV news director. Batbie-Loucks has been with the NBC-affiliate for over 22 years, previously serving as assistant news director, content management center director, assignment manager and news producer.
Batbie-Loucks began her broadcast career at WTWO-TV in Terre Haute, Indiana, where she worked as a camera operator and weekend director, before transitioning into the newsroom as a reporter. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University, where she majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Spanish.
Involvement in the Tucson community and local charities, is of utmost importance to Batbie-Loucks. She is currently on the boards of Angel Charity for Children, Steele Memorial Children’s Research Center and the January 8th Memorial Foundation.
Batbie-Loucks is a three-time Emmy nominee and has won numerous Associated Press and Edward R. Murrow awards for excellence in journalism.
She is most proud of her two children, Emma and Ethan.
