“My name is Iliana Esparza. I am 21 years old, born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I graduated on May 15th of 2021 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois. I am a proud new mother of a beautiful baby boy and am a Early Preschool teacher with plans to work on earning my Masters Degree next. This would not have been possible if it weren’t for the Pictures of Hope Program. POH gave me the opportunity to experience higher education away from home and allowed me to create a second home. I broke out of my shell and was able to explore, grow, travel, work, learn, create family, and so much more.”
